This kalimba uses the bottom sound hole design, and we own the design patent (US Patent No.: US D939624 S and EU Patent No.: 008311799-0001). It's an exclusive resonant cavity design of hluru. The sound is conducted through the key into the body and comes out directly from the bottom without additional reflections, so that we can get a cleaner sound. In order to obtain a cleaner sound, hluru engineers designed a sawtooth echo structure in the left and right layers of the box to make the resonant sound more balanced and pure. In addition, this bottom hole design can produce a beautiful "WA" sound when playing through moving the kalimba back and forth close to your body instead of controlling it with your fingers.
